Owners
Meagan & Daniel
Meagan
Meagan began her journey in 2006 when she launched her career at the age of just 17. Her career started strong when she began working at DogFX alongside the original owners for four years where she was taught the art of grooming.
Meagan also worked in a national pet store working as a groomer, learning invaluable skills and later becoming a manager at an early age. Soon enough, Meagan was training other groomers and becoming salon/state managers during her 11 year adventure at the company.
Through hard work and dedication, in 2021 Meagan became the proud new owner and operator of DogFX. She is thrilled to bring her passion for dog grooming back to DogFX, with the motto “Fur The Love Of Grooming”. This moto was created by Meagan to represent her passion for grooming. She believes the only way to do great work is to love what you do.
Meagan has exceptional skills in handling, especially nervous dogs with anxiety conditions in a professional and loving manner, making sure they go home safe and happy. She also specialises in and enjoys doing large double coats such as retrievers and collies, as well as breed specific clips such as for Schnauzers and West Highland Terriers.
No groom is too hard and Meagan loves being given a challenge!
Daniel
Daniel decided to hang up the tools in 2021, give up his career as a long term mechanic and work here at DogFX alongside his wife Meagan. He is the mastermind behind all things business! From IT and maintance, to washing and blowing our beautiful dogs, he is always there to support our team and make sure our customers leave with a smile on their face.
Store Manager / Groomer
Tayla
Tayla started her adventure with DogFX in 2022 after spending many hours volunteering in the daycare facility. She has always had a love for all animals, big and small and after accepting the position as daycare manager, slowly her passion for grooming began to blossom. Within just a few short months, Tayla became the Store Manager and this is when her grooming career really began, starting as a washer and quickly growing into finalising her own grooms.
Tayla is one of our award winning groomers, placing at the Royal Adelaide Show Salon Styling in 2023. She is always up for a challenge and love to create huge transformations that make you go WOW! From puppy’s first hair cuts to giving older more precious dogs a new lease on life, she will create a groom to suit every family.
Tayla has a certificate III in animal studies and basic pet first aid.
She also loves to specialise in breeds such as poodles and pomeranians as well as attachment comb lengths.
Groomer / 2ic
Katrina
Kat started her journey with DogFX in 2022 and hasn’t looked back! She had completed an online grooming course and was so excited to join the grooming industry that she offer to volunteer her time instore and was made part of the DogFX team shortly after.
Kat spent many hours completing washroom duties and preparing the dog’s coats perfectly to ensure our groomers had a perfect canvas to work with. In no time at all, Kat was completing our PlushFX packages to the highest of standards on many different breeds and coat types.
She is now one of our main groomers and is completing dogs to the highest of standards! Not only did she excel in her grooming career, but in 2023, she was the first 2IC in our forever growing company.
Her favourite breeds to groom include all breeds of oddles with of course, the cutest round teddy bear faces possible!
Trainee Groomer/ 3IC
Finn
Finn started his career with DogFX in 2023 as a dog washer and dryer after completing his online grooming course.
After many month, in 2024, Finn was promoted to 3IC, giving him the role of assisting management and being an amazing role model for our team.
Finn also found his love for grooming in 2024, completing his training alongside the helping hands of our grooming team.
Toy breeds have been a highlight and focus for Finn.
Finn’s favourite breeds are pomeranians!
Groomer
Jess
Jess started her grooming career in 2018 and has had experience in both small and large grooming salons.
Jess has a certificate four in Vet Nursing and certificate in Animal Attendant.
Jess has won many grooming awards over her time grooming which are on show in store to share with all our customer.
She not only has her own standard poodle who she does many different show groom styles on, but they are her favourite breed to groom!
Dog sitting manager
Erin
Erin joined the DogFX team in 2024 after a huge career change!
Erin manages our dog sitting service by ensuring our clients and pups have the best suited sitter and ensures the peace of mind when booking a sitting through DogFX.
She has many years experience in retail and management, Erin has recently qualified in Dog Training. She can’t wait to share her knowledge and skills with our clients. Erin is taking our in house puppy school classes to help create a long life bond with those puppies.
Erin has a dachshund herself and loves all weenies!
Dog sitter Team
DogFX has an amazing internal and external dog sitting team who love to look after your precious animals while you enjoy your time away on holiday!
All of our sitters have current police clearance, drivers license and provide 24/7 contact and care while keeping your dog safe, happy and in routine while your away. Our sitter’s provide service in both their home and your home.
Junior Team
Our junior team dedicate many of their weekends, after school and holiday hours here at DogFX. From cleaning, grooming and supervising daycare, this amazing group helps to ensure your dogs have the best time possible during every visit.
